Cookies Policy

Cookie Policy

Effective Date: May 22, 2026

This policy explains the cookies and similar browser storage used on Clinket’s websites — the Clinket website for customers, the Clinket website for businesses and the Clinket AI Assistant website — and the choices you have.

1. What We Use

A cookie is a small text file that a website saves in your browser. Our websites also save some information in your browser’s own storage, which works in a similar way. We use both to keep you signed in and secure, to remember your choices and, only as described in Section 4, to understand how our websites are used.

We do not use advertising cookies, and we keep the advertising features of Google’s tools switched off.

2. Essential Cookies and Storage (always on)

These are needed for our websites to work and to keep accounts safe, so they cannot be switched off in our settings. You can block them in your browser, but signing in and other features will then stop working.

  • __Host-ClinketSession-Customer and __Host-ClinketSession-Business, set by Clinket’s sign-in service: keep you signed in. If you ask to stay signed in, they last until your sign-in ends (at most 30 days, and sooner if you do not use Clinket for 7 days); otherwise they are removed when you close your browser.
  • __Host-ClinketPasswordReset-Customer and __Host-ClinketPasswordReset-Business: used only while you reset your password, for up to 15 minutes.
  • __Host-ClinketExternalLogin and other short-lived security cookies set by our sign-in service: used only while you sign in with Google, Facebook or Apple, for a few minutes.
  • clinket_signed_in, set by the business website: tells Clinket’s business websites, including the AI Assistant website, that you are signed in, so they can show the right buttons. It contains only the website’s name — never your name, account number or sign-in details — and lasts only as long as your sign-in.
  • clinket_consent: remembers your cookie choices for 1 year.
  • Device and tab identifiers (browser storage): a random number for your browser, kept until you clear your browser data, and one for each open tab, removed when you close the tab. We use them to keep your sign-in secure and tied to this device, to protect against fraud and abuse, and to send notifications to the right place.
  • Sign-in markers (browser storage): small markers that let your open tabs know when you sign in or out.

3. Preference Cookies and Storage

These remember choices you make, so you do not have to make them again. They stay until you clear your browser data, unless a shorter time is shown.

  • Your language, your country and the place you search from.
  • Items in your cart before you sign in, and tips or notices you have closed.
  • On the business website: the email address you ask us to remember when you sign in, how you like lists and pages laid out, and clinket_product, a cookie that remembers for 1 year whether you came to sign up for Clinket for your business or for the AI Assistant.
  • On the AI Assistant website: your sound, language and demo choices.

4. Analytics

Clinket’s own analytics. We record general activity — such as pages viewed, searches made and buttons pressed — together with the device identifier, to improve Clinket and to personalise search results and recommendations. We never record the contents of your messages, reviews or uploads. We shorten IP addresses and round locations to about 1 km before we store them.

We collect this only after you choose Accept all. Until you choose, and if you decline, your browser sends us no activity information, and the records our servers keep of things like searches are not linked to you or to your device.

Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager. Only if you choose Accept all, we may also load these Google tools to measure, in total, how our websites are used. Google then sets cookies such as _ga and _ga_ followed by a code, which can last up to 2 years. These tools are never loaded before you accept, and never on pages opened from a private link, such as a link to your booking or a calling-permission page.

5. Your Choices

On your first visit we ask you to choose Accept all or Decline analytics, or to Choose each option yourself. You can change your mind at any time from Your privacy choices, which you can open from our websites and apps.

Your choice is saved in the clinket_consent cookie and, if you are signed in, on your Clinket account, so it follows you to your other devices. You can also delete or block cookies in your browser settings.

If your browser sends the Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as a request to limit how your information is used and switch on Limit how my data is used for you. That setting tells Google’s analytics tools to follow stricter rules.

6. Other Companies

Some features use services from other companies, loaded only on the pages that need them. These companies may set their own cookies and handle information under their own privacy policies.

  • Google reCAPTCHA protects our forms from automated abuse. On the customer website it loads on pages that show the newsletter sign-up at the bottom of the page and with the feedback and Report wrong info forms; on the business website, with the feedback form; and on the AI Assistant website, when you start Tap to talk or ask for a callback.
  • Stripe, our payment processor, on payment screens — for example when a business pays for its plan or buys more minutes, or where customers can pay for a booking online. It may set cookies to help prevent fraud.
  • Google Maps, on business website screens where you enter an address or mark your service area.
  • Telnyx, our calling provider, when a business joins a call from the browser.
  • Google, Facebook and Apple, only if you choose to sign in with them.

Google’s privacy policy is at policies.google.com/privacy. You can also install Google’s opt-out add-on (tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout) to refuse Google Analytics on every website.
